The Magic of Edelweiss: In My World and Ours
In the world of my fantasy series, the Edelweiss holds a special kind of magic. This rare and delicate flower symbolizes resilience, purity, and the mysteries of life—qualities that shape both my characters and the journey they undertake. Like the treasures hidden within my story, edelweiss is precious and rare, a reminder of the beauty and fragility of nature.
But did you know that edelweiss is also protected in the real world? This beautiful alpine flower, often found high in the mountains, is at risk due to overpicking and habitat loss. It is strictly forbidden to pick edelweiss from the wild in many places, as we must safeguard its beauty for future generations to admire.
The edelweiss featured in my pictures comes from an ethical source. The flowers are grown from seeds in collaboration with a botanic reserve at a nearby university, ensuring they thrive without harming nature.
As you dive into the magical world of my books, let’s also remember to protect the magic around us. The natural world holds its own wonders, and together, we can ensure it continues to inspire for generations to come.
